Positives:  Traci is great to work with, Outside area beautiful - Inside reception hall - nice tall ceilings - dimmers on lights - beautiful stone fireplace - Very large nice kitchen (this is my favorite thing of the whole ranch :-) )   Great sound system. - they do included table and chairs (125)

Drawbacks: Kinda hard to find if your not looking for it - RIght off Memorial in Murfreesboro - headed to Lebanon - would help if a big sign was pointing you towards the ranch from memorial (richmond shop road) -  only 1 restroom for women and 1 for men - no specific dressing area - there is a loft  with an opening - we cover this up to make a dressing room - I would like to see a big mirror in there - we may need to bring our own - There is horse border on the walls - (It is a horse ranch - this makes sense) - we cover any walls with focal point (food, cake, head table) with backdrops. They only provide 125 chairs - if you want to use these for outside and inside there is a $100 moving fee from OSW.  I would love to see Resin chairs outside - may need to rent this (Stewarts Rental in Mufreesboro - great - $3 a chair, approx. $75 delivery and pickup fee.)

Positives: For a Small Wedding, 50 - 70 guests -- This place is perfect!  Chapel is beautiful - you don't need to add in a lot of decorations - The window is so "churchy" and nice looking in pictures.  The gazebo is perfect if you want to be outdoors for the ceremony yet still covered in case of rain. -- The whole area is so picture perfect. ( A more casual picture perfect/outdoorsy) log buildings, streams, old trains, garden patches... its really a nice area. Also has a small room that the bride can get ready in  - with rental of the Leeman house. Teresa is also great to work with. - For a 50 guest count having the ceremony in the chapel and an outdoors reception under the gazebo is also a thought - it worked out beautifully for us with a reception in Sept. (great month for outdoors anything!)

 

All in all, we do a LOT of weddings here and brides are very satisfied with the outcome and the wedding turns out beautiful

Positives: Very Big Lawn for Outside Ceremony ( up to 500 guests) - Reception Very Elegant - With most packages with the reception you get valet parking. James was very pleasant to work with. - Large Excellent Catering Kitchen. - Outside Ceremony area - you do not need a lot of decorations - the house is very dramatic on its own - I like to do an aisle with petals.

 

Drawbacks:  Not really an area for a backup plan in case of rain, Reception only fits up to 150 -- so if your having a large ceremony make sure they know who is coming to

We have yet to do a wedding here - I believe this would be a beautiful natural setting location... There is not a lot that you have to do for decor

here. I think it would make a beautiful backdrop for pictures the green lawns and the dark wood. Very Nice.

 

You cant start your wedding until sundown at certain times during the peak seasons...but again this would be spectacular even in the evening.

Has a very large dining hall... again minimum decor needed. Especially an evening wedding.

Review From One Source Weddings 

   We drove 2 hours just to go look at this location in person. The pictures that is on their website..seem to give it a large feel.

But in reality it is a nice cozy romantic feeling I get when I walked into the lobby.  Like being in a mountain retreat and its a private celebration.... I would really like to spend a relaxing weekend here.  it had some ping-pong tables and large couches in the lobby area... I really loved the man-made waterfall and the extremely long bridge... you can see how this would make a beautiful photo backdrop.  Again minimum decorations are needed. - Lots of natural wildflowers would be a beautiful decor idea..or the simplicity of the classic red rose.

If I was to get married again, I think I would like to go here. (and stay the honeymoon here also)

 

Beware - theres not much of anything else around.. and I'm not sure about the service -- we were there for at least an hour and could find no-one..  It was winter so maybe the summertime is different - I would like to find out if they offer canoe or some time of water rafting in the area... what a nice wedding week that would be... plan a whole event around the wedding / family get together.... Just a thought

Positives: Do take advantage of the extra day for the bridal portraits

We got some great shots - the Garden is beautiful.. it just really has

a lot of beautiful places for the photography. The staff was

pleasant to work with.. There were a lot of rules.. but we have an

incredible setup crew.. so these were not a problem for us.

I liked the chairs they provided. - wooden wedding folding chairs.

 

Negatives: Kitchen is extremely small and they had a warmer but

with no trays .. I'm not for sure if those are supposed to be provided or not

...but the staff did help us find some and it worked out ok..

We set up a wedding in October in the back area of Cedar Vine.

It was one of my favorite location to decorate.. and we were worried about time factor

Just the day before setup time.

There is no kitchen area.. and no heat or air in this part... but I really like the look.

A very different feel.. you could go either fancy or casual.

 

If I was going fancy - wedding of 100-150 I think I would only use the draped section..

Our client only used that section for dancing.. but there was plenty of room to put tables.

 

 

 Outside was a simple setup.. I wasn't to crazy about the plastic chairs.. maybe see if they would charge

a little more or put into your package the wedding chairs used in the front area weddings.

I really liked when you looked back at the covered bridge - area where the bride walked into the ceremony

area -- where the lighting and drape was.. very nice..

I really liked the iron chandelier -- by putting flowers in it.. it really dressed up the entry.

 

 

The other area for reception seating... I liked the rugged wood look but they did say they would be

dressing it up a bit... I'm sure whatever they do it will be beautiful... they do a great job...

The room has nice texture for the walls.. we had a backdrop setup because of the large band that was coming..

 

We brought in a dance floor - 12X15 - if you are planning on dancing.. make sure to get the dance floor. - Beautiful carpet.. but not a danceable carpet..

 

The bar area/catering area.. was a really neat feature of the room.

We put up a black backdrop behind the bar.. to cover up the area that is seen if no backdrop is there. and to give us a little more

"catering kitchen" room.

 

The veranda area / Gallery

seats 50 guests 6 square tables with 24 chairs and 6 cocktail tables with 20 barstools are included in rental $400

or $100 to add on to another rental.

They put up screens to separate from the country club restaurant area.. -- I love the lighting out here! We added some linens.. and setup a full table out here..

One Source Weddings Positive Review:  The location - ballroom area has a low ceiling - but good recessed lighting and nice accent lighting on walls.. You dont need a whole lot of decor.

And the decor that you do.. really dresses the room even more.

The indoor ballroom.. I would recommend the country club chair covers. They fit perfectly. The smaller hotel style chairs .. are extremely tight.. and don't fit exactly perfect.

both types of chair covers are the same costs.. I know we are 1 of the few companies that carry them.

The gallery area.. Its only an additional $100 to add on .. this gives you more space.. either indoor or the outdoor areas..

Make sure to take advantage if you have the location booked for an event.. to use the outdoors area for an engagement shoot or bridal portraits..

The staff is great! David and Marcia were very easy to work with.. and tried very hard to accommodate everyone to the best of their ability

 

One Source Weddings Negative Review:  There are a few negatives.. Our bride had a large band.. which I would highly recommend against.. because it just took up to much space in the room..

but there was also a rehearsal dinner that was booked in the pavilion and the times overlapped.  The outdoor event was upset because they didn't want to hear the indoor weddings music during their dinner.. our bride was upset because it was of course her wedding and was told that the band was ok..  You need to clarify what type of music you are bringing in .. and make sure if there is another event

in the other room, that they know you will be playing loud music.. or vice-versa.. they may have loud music that you have to deal with... I don't know how but the facility needs to try and avoid

that type of situation next time. Its a negative for both parties.

Also, it was very cool in there when we started decorating.. and then about 1 hour before.. I was noticing how hot it was getting around 90 degrees in the indoor room... and then guests started

arriving.. the air conditioner was frozen.. and it was pretty much like a sauna with 150 guests plus the band.. everyone was extremely miserable  - they had to turn off the air and let it unthaw...

It never got cool.. until we started tearing down..  The location needs to figure out how to avoid that problem also.. not very many people danced .. or even stayed a while.. because of the heat..

If the air has a low temp that it cant be put past.. or it may freeze at least post a sign.. so we or other renters will know what that is..  But besides those 2 things.. the rest of the event went smoothly.
