Positives: You pay for location here! Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. and decorating is not as difficult because the ceilings and surroundings are gorgeous!
The Ceiling is just beautiful in whatever location you are at...the veranda...lobby...reception ballroom!
You do not have to do much
with decor because the building is
really
beautiful. We did like the difference in the room with the chair wraps.. But I
would highly recommend Spandex chair covers.. because these chairs are a little
larger than your normal standard hotel chair.. But just changing the linens and
chair covers made such a big difference.. see other wedding below

Drawbacks: staff used to be a drawback - BUT - They have upgraded their staff! Absolutely wonderful!

Other Info to know.: concerning chair covers - we did our normal chair wraps and the chairs are larger than your standard hotel chair.. they
need Spandex chair covers.. will stretch to fit this chair perfectly! Give us a call for a quote!

Positives: The staff was great - Suzanne went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the setup was correct. Very Large Grand Ballroom, ceiling was low but this actually worked to our advantage with hanging the dance floor canopy and the entry way material. We got a room here to stay overnight - very luxurious!
We ate a little diner overlooking this pool area - instantly I thought it would be perfect for a pool side reception! There is a patio that's attached (you cant see it in the picture) another great area for a reception - so if your wanting an inside hotel ceremony outside reception or outside ceremony with inside reception-- this would really work beautifully.
They cannot officially close the pool to the public but I dont think it would be to bad. Beautiful lawn for pictures also .
Drawbacks: ceiling low, no chandeliers - but inset lighting dimmers were great. Not a lot of picturesque places inside the hotel - we set up a backdrop for portrait pictures in extra room. Pool cannot be closed to public.

Positives: This was our first Kurdish Wedding 400 guests and it went off perfectly. - We had a nice setup for the dance floor - head table - and small Eiffel tower vase with 3 painted blue roses - it was very nice. The ice sculpture was very cool - we added our own lights to it - to accent it...
Drawbacks: I would have really liked to see some taller arrangements on the tables - the room was really large with 40 table setup they kinda got lost / They do not provide chair covers - it made a big difference!
Sheraton Rotating Ballroom - Nashville TN
The top of the Sheraton used to be a dining restaurant - Very cool being at the top of the city.. and at night.. the city is all around and yes
it really does rotate.
The limitations are the size of the room - can comfortably seat 80-120 guests with dance floor and cake areas..
it has dividers throughout.. which if they ever knocked down the small walls there would be more room
Since the room does rotate it.. we can stop it when it is time for the first dance..
With its uniqueness it also does have some drawbacks.. but seeing the city at night.. from 360 degrees it is sure to be a sight your guests wont forget.. We are very excited about seeing what can happen here!
Sheraton also has a giagantic ballroom but these are some other areas you may not know about..
Beautiful area.. that has a open feel -- Great setting for a ceremony / outside feel from the gigantic windows..
With benefits of being inside.
There is also a small ballroom off to the side.. if you want a candlelight ceremony or reception even in the middle of the day.

Positives: When we were hired to do this decor setup, I was pretty excited because I had been wanting to do it for a while.. I knew this dance area could be breathtaking.
And I think it turned out exactly that way!
We wrapped the columns with lights and drape - and accent colored material..
with
spotlights shining on that when the evening got darker.. It set the romantic
mood.. Head Table beautiful! I loved being able to see
the Nashville skyline from the 10th floor. We also stayed in the room - very comfortable
Drawbacks: You must have the complete day to setup this ceiling.. We got in at 8:00 a.m. and Ceremony started at 4:00. Ceremony setup must be completed the day before wherever you have that at.. because it does take some time. I'm not so crazy about the staff.. or whoever was in charge... they may have moved by now.. but our bride had wanted the chair covers steamed.. and asked them before hand to do so.. they charged her a small amount... then told her they would be able to do it.. she got just a little bridezilla (which I dont blame her) and made sure they didnt just charge her for doing something and then not doing it.
The food was ok.. A lot of the staff was nice.. It was just a few things the bride had said..about not being pleased with the service.. Just make sure everything is in writing.. is my suggestion.. I think the location is worth any little trouble.. Hey just get spandex chair covers and NOBODY has to iron them :-)
Client had rented chair covers - they were very wrinkled. I called MMH later for my own FYI and asked if they were supposed to be pressed - They were. Your coordinator needs to make sure this is accomplished if you rent MMH chair covers. - Also the hotel free centerpiece was very lacking indeed - you do pay for what you get - I would love to see some tall cylinder vases with fresh large arrangements or calla lillies- or cylinders with light bases.
The head table setup tablecloths were ok - but look at the wall behind - Need to use a backdrop to cover that up - maybe with some lights draped behind.
