Beautiful Location

The private 10 minute dinner was very impressive

I love the ceiling in the reception veranda area

And of course the outside gardens are picture perfect.

Belle Meade Plantation

(615) 356-0501

http://www.bellemeadeplantation.com/

We had done this wedding and the biggest thing I can say it please make

sure you get some fans.. and dont use candles if at all possible.. they

will blow out from the fans.. I think the best months to use this area

(Just my opinion) is end April, May, June, Sept, Oct.. not so hot

Your caterer will also need to provide proof of liability insurance.

You do need to purchase more time if you are having any draping done

at least 6-8 hours before your ceremony starting time.

OSW Review on Bellmeade Plantation - Carriage House:

Positives: Do take advantage of the extra day for the bridal portraits

We got some great shots - the Garden is beautiful.. it just really has

a lot of beautiful places for the photography. The staff was

pleasant to work with.. There were a lot of rules.. but we have an

incredible setup crew.. so these were not a problem for us.

I liked the chairs they provided. - wooden wedding folding chairs.

Negatives: Kitchen is extremely small and they had a warmer but

with no trays .. I'm not for sure if those are supposed to be provided or not

...but the staff did help us find some and it worked out ok..

Again, the negatives are of course that there is no heat or air..

War Memorial Plaza - Nashville TN

War Memorial Plaza - Nashville TN (This is not the War Memorial Auditorium)

I have know of this location .. but could never find anyone to contact or how to rent it. Now the secret is out! And boy is it a good one!  One of the most beautiful places in Nashville is the least expensive location I have ever seen!

Location: Nashville, TN

Rental Amount: $65 - for the day

To Book Call Melinda Nelson - 615-532-4826

Regarding using a tent: There are certain restrictions regarding placing a tent on the Legislative Plaza. The weight can't be any more than 200 lbs. The bottom of the poles need to be padded. You can use sandbags to hold the Tent down, if you are going to use blocks they need to be padded. Don't place the poles in the center of the granite. The poles need to be placed on the corner of the granite. You will be renting the plaza for as long as you need it, but be sure to indicate the timeframe on the paperwork.

You will need to provide a certificate of Liability, with the "State of Tennessee, General Services" as the additionally insured.  (Which If you are using One Source Weddings - We can provide this for you)

Other Information to know about the war memorial plaza guidelines.. this is where is could get tricky.. but we can work everything out

War Memorial Guidelines

This is the large plaza (above) in front of the War Memorial Building.

After you walk up the stairs it opens into this beautiful plaza area.. hallway is covered..

but the center area is opened.

This is the inside area.. which on a cool spring or fall night would be one of the most romantic settings I could imagine.

Review From One Source Weddings (Cannonsburgh)

Positives: For a Small Wedding, 50 - 70 guests -- This place is perfect!  Chapel is beautiful - you don't need to add in a lot of decorations - The window is so "churchy" and nice looking in pictures.  The gazebo is perfect if you want to be outdoors for the ceremony yet still covered in case of rain. -- The whole area is so picture perfect. ( A more casual picture perfect/outdoorsy) log buildings, streams, old trains, garden patches... its really a nice area. Also has a small room that the bride can get ready in  - with rental of the Leeman house. Teresa is also great to work with. - For a 50 guest count having the ceremony in the chapel and an outdoors reception under the gazebo is also a thought - it worked out beautifully for us with a reception in Sept. (great month for outdoors anything!)

All in all, we do a LOT of weddings here and brides are very satisfied with the outcome and the wedding turns out beautiful

Review From One Source Weddings

We drove 2 hours just to go look at this location in person. The pictures that is on their website..seem to give it a large feel.

But in reality it is a nice cozy romantic feeling I get when I walked into the lobby.  Like being in a mountain retreat and its a private celebration.... I would really like to spend a relaxing weekend here.  it had some ping-pong tables and large couches in the lobby area... I really loved the man-made waterfall and the extremely long bridge... you can see how this would make a beautiful photo backdrop.  Again minimum decorations are needed. - Lots of natural wildflowers would be a beautiful decor idea..or the simplicity of the classic red rose.

If I was to get married again, I think I would like to go here. (and stay the honeymoon here also)

Beware - theres not much of anything else around.. and I'm not sure about the service -- we were there for at least an hour and could find no-one..  It was winter so maybe the summertime is different - I would like to find out if they offer canoe or some time of water rafting in the area... what a nice wedding week that would be... plan a whole event around the wedding / family get together.... Just a thought

Shadowbrook - Joelton, TN

(about 15-20 minutes outside Nashville)

One of my top picks for outdoors.. exclusive.. english elegance feel..

I've seen it in person.. Incredible location.. they do not have a website..

but this is the telephone number  876-0700

Address: 5397 Rawlings Rd. Joelton, TN

Below is some pictures.. I found online.. Cant hardly wait to do the location!

Pictures really don't do it justice.. need to see in person. you have to call to schedule a viewing appointment

Outdoor garden area.. with a brook running behind it.. very shaded.. I think even in the hot weather.. its probably not so bad here. -- top left picture.. is arch included in the ceremony area.. I would put a lot of fresh flowers.. to bring it out..

The inside has this giant table and large chandeliers.. very beautiful

Review From One Source Weddings  (Oaklands)

Positives: Very Big Lawn for Outside Ceremony ( up to 500 guests) - Reception Very Elegant - With most packages with the reception you get valet parking. James was very pleasant to work with. - Large Excellent Catering Kitchen. - Outside Ceremony area - you do not need a lot of decorations - the house is very dramatic on its own - I like to do an aisle with petals.

Drawbacks:  Not really an area for a backup plan in case of rain, Reception only fits up to 150 -- so if your having a large ceremony make sure they know who is coming to
