Another thing we can do here.. is our tunnel setups.. love .. love.. love them..

since the normal entry door is on the side..

we create a tunnel to where the entrance is facing what decor we want the guests to see... It was a real "awe" product..

Performance Hall is $1,800   and $1,500 for the Reception Hall

note: If we do any draping you must have the day before rented.

Before and After - Full view of the performance hall

The people here were so nice to work with! Loved the room.. I like the black ceiling.. and I didn't know if I would like it or not but I did like the walls draped.

we created lines for the ceremony aisle with the ceiling draping and then it was switched to the dance floor.  It was very pretty!

I believe they did have up to 120 black folding chairs.. the rental price was very reasonable.

One of the walls were draped and had the catering area setup.

This was the ceremony aisle and we did a switchover to the reception.. by taking up the aisle using the aisle vases

for the centerpieces and bringing these benches and cocktail tables for the dance area.. the only thing here that

would make it a little better is a gobo light initial on the floor..

All in all a great place to have a reception downtown Nashville.. they allow outside catering and alcohol..  not very

many places in Nashville that have those options!   Use us for everything! Save Money and have an incredible reception.

The Lane Agricultural Center - Lane Agri-Park

315 John Rice Blvd.         Murfreesboro, TN       898-7710 (not for sure on the number)

location on the same road that Sams in Murfreesboro is located on..

Easily seat 200-250 guests - depending on size of dance floor.

You can also "cut" the room in half if you have a smaller crowd.

Before Picture

After - We covered all walls and put lighting on it - this picture is taken in the evening - see different look with daylight.

Our bride did  have a dance area... and opted for no dance floor.. but I would highly recommend dance floor if you are having dancing..

This is the daylight picture..

Positive Review:  Giant Kitchen .. Us Catering people love this part!

If they did not have it booked for the day before.. they do let you come in and decorate.. but I would go ahead and book it.. since the price is so great!

Negative Review:  No alcohol  - that's about all the negatives! The people were really easy to work with.

Positives: I really like working at this location - The people are easy to work with .. very nice

hanging the drapery on the walls.. completely transforms it..

Its pretty large.. easily 200-300 guests with a dance floor.

They do allow alcohol

Price is great!

Negatives: - make sure you do have any rentals out that evening.. or make a place and get permission to store them.. - not really a negative.. just a note.

They do have tables but they are the 72" rounds - so make sure centerpieces.. "fill up" the middle  and for full length linens get 132" rounds.

City Hall - Nashville, TN

http://www.cityhallnashville.com/

Venue Rental: $2,500

We had 15 tables setup (10 at each) and a large area for the dance floor  / catering / some high cocktail tables..

There wasn't much more room.. so I would say depends on how large you want your dance floor.. as to how many people this can hold.. sit down.

150 - 200 guests comfortably with dance floor and catering area..  or add a few more tables.. if you put the catering area on the stage? not sure on that one..

You do have to have it booked for the day before for us to do draping..

Everything (as far as all rentals / decor) was done through One Source Weddings.

After the sun set a little

We did full dinner catering - there is no kitchen so be prepared to "create" your own kitchen in the back left hand corner.. or make other preparations..

Positive Review: let us come in the day before.. if no one had booked it.. Jacquelyn was very pleasant to work with.

Negative Review:  no kitchen is a negative..  -- Also I did hear that this place will most likely be closing at the end of the year..

Reception in the Atrium at The Mill

Another Reception Setup in the Atrium

Positives:  I did like the beams and the rustic feel of the place.  Took really great bridal portraits.. This is one

of my favorite bridal portrait locations! Diane worked with us well. They have string lighting setup upstairs..

There is another very large area.. that with drapery would be beautiful.. but this is my favorite inside.. Its very

different and has a lot of character. They did put in an elevator which makes it nice to get everything upstairs.

Negatives: It was the first of March and it was freezing cold or with the heaters burning (sweating) hot.. So I think

half my team got the flu from doing this location..

They do not have any sort of kitchen upstairs.. or downstairs.. you will need to rent a food warmer.. and be prepared with water... there is no easy access to water.

The floor is very uneven upstairs also.. Cake, chocolate fountain.. bring something to level the tables with.

Make sure what is in your contract is what you have talked about... miscommunication almost was a terrible mistake.. we had asked for the hotel chairs and was told no problem.. but somewhere they forgot... and wrote in the contract white folding chairs... my client did not catch this and we almost had a horrible problem on the day of because the chair covers only fit hotel chairs not folding chairs... The Mill did fix it... and brought in the 250 they had... and we needed 300.. so 5 table had folding chairs with no covers... so just have your wedding planner whoever that is to double check the contract.

Cake Draping: Included with cake package

Review From One Source Weddings (Smyrna Town Centre)

Positives:  Good Price for room, includes dance floor - ceiling is low enough to hang fabric, nice lighting.  Staff was great to work with.

You must use their catering - but their food is very good. Highly recommended.  This place books way in advance.

Drawbacks:

The only thing I wish they could change is to offer cloth catering skirts for the the cake and head tables. They provide a plastic skirt for both currently.

The dance floor is in the left corner.. it would be nice if it was moveable to a different area - maybe middle of floor - but I dont think its moveable.

I would recommend lighting or drape over the dance floor if decorating the dance floor is important to you.

Overall - this is a great place to have your reception. We enjoyed working here.

Music Valley Event Center - Nashville, TN-

Nashville (across the street from the Gaylord Opryland Hotel)

Call (615) 885-7400 or email us for pricing information. Rates vary. www.musicvalleyeventcenter.com

The reception hall is 8,000 square feet and holds 100-400 people. It is an informal space, with a unique niche in that we allow outside catering, decor, etc. where most hotel ballrooms do not. We are Nashville's only "do-it-yourself" facility in this square footage. Rental fees are $1500, and this includes most of the basic equipment you would need (tables, chairs, dancefloor, etc). The Event Center is an all-day rental, meaning you can come in and decorate the morning of your event. To reserve the day before for decorating requires an additional fee. We suggest booking the space no less than 10 months prior of the desired date, especially if your reception date of choice is a Saturday night. A $375 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking, and the balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. Parties must end and Event Center cleaned up by 1 am. (Extended hours can be arranged for an additional charge of $250 per hour). Beer, wine, champagne can be served to guests, as long as it is not SOLD. We discourage liquor service. Cash bars cannot be operated in this facility. There is a Prep kitchen for the food service that includes an icemaker, refrigerator and warming towers. There is no "cooking" kitchen items must be mostly pre-prepared by the caterer.

After you walk up the stairs it opens into this beautiful plaza area.. hallway is covered..

but the center area is opened.

This is the inside area.. which on a cool spring or fall night would be one of the most romantic settings I could imagine.

Sommet Center

They have a large resturant style dinning area.. that is used for the reception.

Large Screens that can play a bride and groom video during the reception..

They also do have a hotel style room that is used for ceremonies.. we are booked for one there in July.

What really blew me away was the food.. It was amazing.. how they have it set up.. was really cool also.. pictures to be posted soon.

The Standard Cafe

I thought this was a neat location.. The bride wanted something zen feeling.. so thats what we tried to create.

We used Giant crisscross lanterns for the ceiling decor and soft lighting on the brick walls

setup was for 60 guests

We had custom designed black glossy boxes made to create the red willow branch "trees" - candle lighting and soft lighting on the walls completed the effect.

Loved working with these people.. very nice and polite.. The also own The Standard (at the smith house)

They did decide to keep the ceiling ..

note: The chairs here if covered need to be with country club chair covers .. these are a little larger than the standard hotel chair cover.

The room has nice texture for the walls.. we had a backdrop setup because of the large band that was coming..

We brought in a dance floor - 12X15 - if you are planning on dancing.. make sure to get the dance floor. - Beautiful carpet.. but not a danceable carpet..

The bar area/catering area.. was a really neat feature of the room.

We put up a black backdrop behind the bar.. to cover up the area that is seen if no backdrop is there. and to give us a little more

"catering kitchen" room.

The veranda area / Gallery

seats 50 guests 6 square tables with 24 chairs and 6 cocktail tables with 20 barstools are included in rental $400

or $100 to add on to another rental.

They put up screens to separate from the country club restaurant area.. -- I love the lighting out here! We added some linens.. and setup a full table out here..

One Source Weddings Positive Review:  The location - ballroom area has a low ceiling - but good recessed lighting and nice accent lighting on walls.. You dont need a whole lot of decor.

And the decor that you do.. really dresses the room even more.

The indoor ballroom.. I would recommend the country club chair covers. They fit perfectly. The smaller hotel style chairs .. are extremely tight.. and don't fit exactly perfect.

both types of chair covers are the same costs.. I know we are 1 of the few companies that carry them.

The gallery area.. Its only an additional $100 to add on .. this gives you more space.. either indoor or the outdoor areas..

Make sure to take advantage if you have the location booked for an event.. to use the outdoors area for an engagement shoot or bridal portraits..

The staff is great! David and Marcia were very easy to work with.. and tried very hard to accommodate everyone to the best of their ability

One Source Weddings Negative Review:  There are a few negatives.. Our bride had a large band.. which I would highly recommend against.. because it just took up to much space in the room..

but there was also a rehearsal dinner that was booked in the pavilion and the times overlapped.  The outdoor event was upset because they didn't want to hear the indoor weddings music during their dinner.. our bride was upset because it was of course her wedding and was told that the band was ok..  You need to clarify what type of music you are bringing in .. and make sure if there is another event

in the other room, that they know you will be playing loud music.. or vice-versa.. they may have loud music that you have to deal with... I don't know how but the facility needs to try and avoid

that type of situation next time. Its a negative for both parties.

Also, it was very cool in there when we started decorating.. and then about 1 hour before.. I was noticing how hot it was getting around 90 degrees in the indoor room... and then guests started

arriving.. the air conditioner was frozen.. and it was pretty much like a sauna with 150 guests plus the band.. everyone was extremely miserable  - they had to turn off the air and let it unthaw...

It never got cool.. until we started tearing down..  The location needs to figure out how to avoid that problem also.. not very many people danced .. or even stayed a while.. because of the heat..

If the air has a low temp that it cant be put past.. or it may freeze at least post a sign.. so we or other renters will know what that is..  But besides those 2 things.. the rest of the event went smoothly.
