Order of Events Help for the Reception

Some Brides ask for a little help with the order of events for the reception..

Here is a generic order of  events for the Reception.. hopefully it will help you and your coordinator and dj.. with what is going on timeline.. for the reception..

 

Example:

7:00 - Arrive at Reception location - Entire Bridal Party to be introduced..

Amy and Aaron

Bonnie and Bill

Jane and John

Maid of Honor and Best Man...  Sally and Sonny

Now introducing for the first time in public as they come to the dance floor to dance their first dance as husband and wife..

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith!!!

7:10 - 7:25 -

First Dance

Daughter and Father Dance

Mother and Son Dance

7:25 - 7:45

Eating and Mingling / (If Serving Full Dinner if you allow your guests to start eating buffet style.. that will save at least an hour to 2 hours of waiting time)

If serving a full dinner allow 1 hour for serving food.. )

 

7:45  Speech By Best Man and Maid of Honor

7:55     Cake Cutting

8:15 Dancing  a little bit..

8:40  Bouquet Toss and Garter Toss

8:50 Dance some more

9:15 The Shoe Game -- Very cute-- see if your dj knows it

9:30 - 11:00 - The "Get Down and Boogie" Dancing..

11:00 - The last song of the evening.

11:05 - Exit - We will be handing out sparklers to each guests.. please follow coordinators instructions..
